who are you people?

now followingSince I signed up for NaBloPoMo in November, I pimped my blog at Blogher, as you do. And as I have done in the past.

In previous attempts, that’s usually meant a few extra followers and some welcome comments from folks I don’t know. That’s all been very cool — thriving communities grow, and I’m always happy to see new folks show up here.

(Note: Thriving blog communities also are successful because the author posts stuff once in a while. Ahem.)

I saw the same results in November. Good.

But then it continued. Constantly. I now have more than 500 people subscribed to my blog.

Who are you? Where did you come from? And why in the world did you subscribe to a blog that goes without a new post for weeks on end?

No, really, I’m actually curious about this. I mean, I’m reasonably certain that roulettemoneybotprov1 is, as the name implies, a bot (apologies if I’m incorrect, Mr. or Mrs. Botprov1). But Russell Deasley or Tamara T. Thompson could very well be actual people, sitting in front of their computers and anxiously awaiting a new post from Uncle Crappy.

(I’m serious about Russell or Tamara being actual human beings. Not so much about them waiting on me.)

So. I have a request. If you get an email notice about this post because you’re a subscriber and you’re an actual person, leave a comment. Say hi or something. I moderate first-time commenters, so it may take a while before your comment displays. But say something. I’ll be happy to hear from you.

And if you’re a member of the Botprov1 family and can write something clever about roulette, I’ll even be happy to hear from you.
